Vital Pet Products is a family owned national supplier to the retail trade of pet products and animal feeds, completing up to one thousand deliveries per day on a next day multi-drop delivery
basis in a fast moving consumer goods environment. Key clients include The Range (CDS), Wynnstay Group PLC, Bents Garden Centre Group, William Strike Garden Centres, and Pets at Home.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cost effective and smooth running of transport operations in the company’s six regional distribution centres.
• Responsibility for a team of over 120 staff, which includes 6 Transport Managers, 6 Transport Supervisors, Drivers and Support Staff.
• Responsibility for the servicing, maintenance and procurement of the company’s owned fleet of 110 large goods vehicles and trailers.
• National management of 3PL operations for key clients.
• Development, writing, implementation and review of company transport operations procedures.
