Responsibilities:
• Driving class 2 RCV when required to do so by management
• Making sure the HGV is road worthy and free from defects
• Moving bags, wheelie bins and recycling bins and boxes
• Using the hoist mechanism to tip the waste from bins into the RCV lorry
• Throwing plastic bags into the back of the RCV lorry
• Crushing the waste sorting recyclable materials at the kerbside
• Guiding the driver safely around the streets
• Reporting any problems with waste collections
• Helping to unload the waste at designated facilities
• Recording the amount of waste collected

Responsibilities:
• Sowing seeds and planting bulbs and ornamental plants
• Growing plants from cuttings and by grafting
• Taking care of plants – watering, weeding, pruning, feeding and spraying
• Mowing grass, cutting dead growth and branches, and general tidying
• Laying paths and looking after ornamental features
• Part of a team that looked after the Linn Cemetery/ Crematorium
• Pass in NPTC Level 2 – Safe use of pesticides
