Delivering furniture for IKEA alongside a Drivers Mate who will assist in the lifting and shifting of items. Customer service will be at the heart of this role, creating a better everyday!

Driver Awards and Recognition
What will you be doing as a Class 2 Driver?

Driving a Class 2 Vehicle in a safe manner, complying with all road traffic, and vehicle legislation
Working as a 2-person delivery team, delivering furniture products into a room of choice at customers’ homes
Completion of tachographs in line with legislation and company policies
Performing vehicle checks at the beginning and end of each journey and reporting all defects
Ensuring the vehicle and stock are properly always secured
Always providing a first-class customer service experience
Relevant skills and experience as a Class 2 Driver:

This is a physically demanding role including lifting and shifting – essential that you are physically able to lift items
Valid Class 2 License
Valid Digital Tachograph card
Full Driver Qualification card (Driver CPC)
A general understanding of driver’s hours legislation and working time directive
No more than 6 points on driving license
Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential
Time management skills and comfortable in working to deadlines
DBS security check will be completed on the successful candidate

We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it). We can help you with the rest of the process.
