Job Title: 18t HGV Class 2 Driver – Pallet Collection

Location: Starting Harlow, Essex (covering London areas)

Job Type: Full-Time, 50 hours minimum + overtime

Start Date: 6-Nov

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm (50 hours per week)

Salary: 50 hours + Overtime. Paid Weekly Pay

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a 18t HGV2 Driver for pallet collection. As a key member of our logistics team, your primary responsibility will be to collect empty pallets from client sites located inLondon and surrounding areas. You will then transport the empty pallets back to Hoddesdon or South Ockendon.

Responsibilities:

– Drive a 18T CURTAINSIDE to client sites for the collection of empty pallets in London and surrounding areas

– Secure empty pallets on the trailer using appropriate securing techniques and equipment.

– Utilize the client’s mobile application to navigate to the designated client sites and collect daily orders efficiently.

– Adhere to all relevant road safety regulations and maintain a high standard of driving behavior at all times.

– Complete paperwork and maintain accurate records of collected pallets, ensuring all necessary documentation is properly completed.

– Communicate effectively with clients and provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience throughout the collection process.

– Maintain cleanliness and perform routine checks of the assigned vehicle, reporting any issues promptly to the appropriate personnel.

– Manage your daily schedule effectively to ensure timely collection of all pallets.

– Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize routes and improve overall efficiency.

– Display a proactive attitude, going the extra mile to ensure a smooth collection process and excellent service for our clients.

Requirements:

– Hold a valid UK driving license with category C or higher with no more than 6 points on your licence, allowing you to operate a 18t HGV2.

– Demonstrated experience or competency in securing empty pallets.

– Familiarity with London areas, as well as surrounding regions, is preferred.

– Proficiency in using mobile applications for navigation and order management.

– Excellent organizational and time-management skills to prioritize collections and meet deadlines.

– Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients.

– Physical fitness to handle manual loading and unloading of empty pallets.

– A positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

– Punctuality and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
