Wealth Management (WM)- Program Control Associate / International Suitability – Associate
Global Controls Management – Controls Program Team

Group Description:
Within Wealth Management, the Global Controls Management organization’s primary function is to (i) ensure a sustainable and disciplined end-to-end control environment for WM; (ii) identify and escalate issues with a sense of urgency; and, (iii) partner with the business to ensure timely remediation of issues.
The Controls Program Team (CPT) – part of the Global Controls Management organization – launched in Q1 2017 with a principal mission to manage the transition of major Controls programs into a sustainable future-state BAU within WM, including (i) planning and leading the transition of those programs from individual program teams into the Controls Management organization framework; (ii) directing processes that ensure ongoing sustainability across the WM business; and, (iii) serving as the subject matter lead to key members of the Controls Management organization and their business partners across all regions, products and practices WM-wide. Today the team has global responsibility across a portfolio of 10 programs and initiatives.
Position Description:
Program Control Associates (PCAs) work closely with the Controls Program Team (CPT) Head; their Program Control Lead (PCL); Program Control Managers (PCMs) and other CPT members; colleagues across WM as well Asset & Wealth Management; and firm-wide program partners, to successfully deliver on the team’s mission. Program Control Associates are key members of high-performance teams that have responsibility for a major program, such as International Suitability, or a group of programs.
Based in London or Geneva, the Program Control Associate will partner with the Program Control Lead for Wealth Management’s International Suitability program, and with other team members, with initial role priorities that include:
Working with the global Program Control Lead and other team members to manage the transition of the International Suitability program to a sustainable BAU state across WM internationally, in order to ensure a sound foundation for ongoing controls management
Coordinating with team members from Controls Management, Business Management, Legal, Risk, and Compliance and other functions to support the RCSA program relative to International Suitability
Producing and maintaining our roadmap for 2018 and 2019, and implementing strategies for tracking, escalating, and reporting to senior management
Working with other Controls Program Team members to enhance and strengthen our methodology and approach for the Controls Program Team globally
Building and maintaining excellent relationships with internal partners and colleaguesWhile this newly-created role will initially focus on the International Suitability program, as outlined above, there is the opportunity for the scope of this role to increase as part of our strategy to enhance international coverage of key firm-wide and Wealth Management controls programs by the Controls Program Team.
Skills and experience required for the position include:
3 years in program management teams, management consulting, or equivalent experience in complex financial enterprises; knowledge of wealth management business and/or controls or compliance environment strongly preferred
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to successfully engage with a broad range of individuals across various business segments and key support functions
Experience working in complex initiatives and prioritizing multiple deliverables
Strong ability to learn new concepts, systems, processes, and initiatives
Critical thinking, analytical and communication skills with the ability to identify and resolve or escalate issues as appropriate
Effective at multi-tasking and adapting to changing priorities in a dynamic business environment
Excellent skills using Excel, MS PowerPoint and other Office tools efficiently
Personal traits: Highly organized, reliable, proactive, flexible, results- and action-oriented. Intellectual curiosity and integrity; strong ownership, with positive attitude and team spirit; desire to learn and grow as part of a global team.
