At Lloyds Banking Group, we’re driven by a clear purpose – to help Britain prosper. Across the Group, our colleagues are focused on making a difference to customers, businesses and communities. And as the UK’s largest retail and commercial bank, we have a footprint that touches nearly every community and household in the UK.
Our brands, our services and our business span every aspect of banking and finance, including some of the biggest names on the UK’s high streets. That gives us a big responsibility to support the UK economy, and we have a clear strategy to put customers first – and achieve our vision of becoming the best bank for customers.
The Conduct, Compliance and Operational Risk (CCOR) team seek to enhance control and enable sustainable growth for the Group through delivery of proactive support and constructive challenge to the business. This team has responsibility for business oversight and assurance activities in relation to Conduct, Compliance and Operational Risk, as well as implementing the Conduct Strategy, managing the People Risk agenda, liaison with regulators and managing Insurable Risks for the Group.
The changing regulatory environment and focus makes this an exciting time to join one of the fastest growing areas in the financial services industry as an Operational Resilience Senior Manager. In this role you’ll be responsible for the oversight of Operational Resilience, Group Incident Management, Business Continuity Plan and Physical Security, and will engage with key stakeholders in the Chief Security Office, providing consultancy and subject matter expertise, and developing divisional understanding of security risks across the Group.
You’ll also have the opportunity to provide an independent opinion on the business’ management of risk, challenging areas of mitigation or control weakness, and proactively identifying and coordinating assurance activities based on the current and future risk profile of the business, as well as participating in the management of the business unit’s relationships with internal and external audit, regulator and industry bodies.
Providing verbal and written briefings to senior CCOR colleagues on areas of security risk, as well as providing 2nd Line Of Defence commentary on Executive and Board level presentations on Operational Resilience, will also be key elements of your role.
A confident Operational Resilience professional, you’ll need to have extensive proven experience in a similar role in an equally demanding, complex and fast-paced regulated environment. You’ll be an expert in your field, demonstrating a thorough knowledge of Operational Resilience, whether that be technology resilience, business continuity, organisational resilience or physical security within your regulated industry.
You will also need to be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written, as you will need to provide high quality presentations and briefings to senior stakeholders in the Chief Security Office, Risk Division and at appropriate governance committees.
Above all, you’ll need to demonstrate strong influencing skills and strategic thinking, to support and challenge very senior stakeholders, together with the ability to build effective relationships across the Chief Security Office and the wider Risk team
Having analytical skills and thought leadership will also be key to enable you to identify and challenge on key areas of Operational Resilience, and to develop bespoke and innovative approaches to make sure that security risks are a core part of our strategic programmes.
