At Lloyds Banking Group, we’re driven by a clear purpose – to help Britain prosper. Across the Group, our colleagues are focused on making a difference to customers, businesses and communities. And as the UK’s largest retail and commercial bank, we have a footprint that touches nearly every community and household in the UK.

Our brands, our services and our business span every aspect of banking and finance, including some of the biggest names on the UK’s high streets. That gives us a big responsibility to support the UK economy, and we have a clear strategy to put customers first – and achieve our vision of becoming the best bank for customers.

The Conduct, Compliance and Operational Risk (CCOR) team seek to enhance control and enable sustainable growth for the Group through delivery of proactive support and constructive challenge to the business. This team has responsibility for business oversight and assurance activities in relation to Conduct, Compliance and Operational Risk, as well as implementing the Conduct Strategy, managing the People Risk agenda, liaison with regulators and managing Insurable Risks for the Group.

The changing regulatory environment and focus makes this an exciting time to join one of the fastest growing areas in the financial services industry as an Operational Resilience Manager. In this role you’ll support the oversight of our Operational Resilience and Group Incident Management, and will engage with key stakeholders in the Chief Security Office, providing consultancy and subject matter expertise, and developing divisional understanding of security risks across the Group.

You’ll also have the opportunity to provide an independent opinion on the businesses’ management of risk, challenging areas of mitigation or control weakness, and proactively identifying and coordinating assurance activities based on the current and future risk profile of the business, as well as participating in the management of the business unit’s relationships with internal and external audit, regulator and industry bodies.

A confident Operational Resilience professional, you’ll need to have proven experience in a similar role in an equally demanding, complex and fast-paced regulated environment. You’ll be an expert in your field, demonstrating a thorough knowledge of Operational Resilience, whether that be technology resilience, business continuity, organisational resilience or physical security within your regulated industry.

You’ll need to have first hand experience of working in an operational role in 1st and 2nd Line of Defence, and demonstrate knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation affecting security, and of emerging technologies and associated vulnerabilities and risks.

You will also need to be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written, as you will need to provide high quality presentations and briefings to senior stakeholders in the Chief Security Office, Risk Division and at appropriate governance committees.

Having analytical skills is also key to enable you to identify and challenge on key areas of operational resilience, and to support the development of bespoke and innovative approaches to make sure that security risks are a core part of our strategic programmes.

Also essential is the ability to influence, support and challenge senior stakeholders, together with the ability to build effective relationships across the Chief Security Office and the wider Risk team.

In return, as a multi-brand, multi-channel business, we have the scale and breadth to provide you with a diverse range of personal development and a career that’s enriching and full of opportunity. We are proud of the industry recognition we have received, including Stonewall Top 100 Employer, LinkedIn Top 25 UK Employer, Top 30 Employer for Working Families, Gold Standard 2014 from the Business Disability Forum and Top 50 Employer for Women.

So join us and be part of an inclusive, values-based culture focused on making a difference. Whatever your aspiration, you can also expect excellent benefits, including performance-related bonus, car allowance, private health cover, share schemes and a generous pension contribution, along with the option to choose an additional cash lump sum or pick from a wide range of industry leading benefits.

We are committed to building a workforce which reflects the diversity of the customers and communities we serve, and to creating an inclusive workplace where all our colleagues can be themselves and succeed on merit. We support the principles of agile working and will be pleased to consider applications from candidates seeking flexible working arrangements.
