To help us improve our service to our colleagues and customers, we are looking for a talented SaaS (Workday & ServiceNow) Integration & Reporting SME to help us implement and maximise our use of Workday.

Workday HCM / Service Now is a new solution for us, so as the Workday Integration & Reporting SME you’ll bring key knowledge of Workday HCM modules and how they interact with each other through both a functional and technical perspective.

Joining us as a SaaS Integration and Report SME, in one of our cross-disciplinary teams, you’ll be a highly experienced member of our wider Engineering team where you’ll be expected to demonstrate and apply exemplary software engineering practices and skills in addition to mentoring our more junior team members.

This role can be based in either or Halifax Head Office or London main office on the Southbank.

The advertised maximum salary is for London based candidates.

You’ll be working on: Building, Improving and Running the Workday, ServiceNow and HR applications consumed by 75000+ colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Meets with the user community on requests for reporting, dashboards, scorecards and analysis needs, assesses those needs, gathers requirements and develops the best structure to maximize the functionality of Workday

• Works with functional leads to complete deployment activities needed to support the business intelligence reporting, insights and analytics. Creates user training documents and implementation documents as necessary.

• Provides advanced support for information, reporting, analytics, and dashboard functions to all areas of the business.

• Develop new, or modify existing integrations from Workday and ServiceNow to internal and external clients using Workday and ServiceNow technologies including calculated fields, custom reports, EIBs, document transformation, Workday Studio, Web Services, etc.

• Acts as an SME for reporting, dashboards, integrations and scorecards in supporting system upgrades, changes and modifications. Provides timely communications to all key stakeholders and provides direction and required time lines.

• Candidate will perform impact analysis in advance of all upgrades and work with each Subject Matter Expert to determine the impact on existing processes and will facilitate the decisions needed.

• Have the ability to introduce improvement initiatives by implementing tools/ reusable artefacts to bring benefit to the business and save effort.

What we’re looking for:

Essential skills:

• Expert Knowledge and actual experience building a variety of reports & integration solutions.

• Expert knowledge of SaaS Integration tools, specifically Core Connectors, Workday Studio, Bluecoat and Trustwave

• A competent understanding of REST/SOAP, XML, XSLT, Javascript, Json, supported encryption libraries.

• Capable of writing Standard, Advanced, Matrix and Composite reports.

• Experienced in the creation of complex calculated fields, custom objects, EIB/iLoad, & proficient in understanding a variety of Workday and ServiceNow HCM Business Processes.

• Knowledge and experience of the full Workday change lifecycle of a custom report/integration object from study, design through to go-live and warranty.

• Knowledge and experience of the ServiceNow HR case management module to support the development of custom reports

• Experienced and proficient in the generation of technical specifications, detailed test scripts to validate system functionality, business rules, and integration/data integrity.

• Able to apply logic in thinking through downstream impacts for regression testing purposes.

Nice to have:

• Functional knowledge of Workday benefits, recruiting, compensation, performance, career development and succession planning functionality.

• Capable of providing BAU support activities using key investigative problem solving skills

• Capable of writing Standard, Advanced, Matrix and Composite reports.

• A willingness to travel between LBG sites
