About Risk Innovation:
The team maximise the use of analytics and ground-breaking computing; inspiring others to think creatively. We provide consultancy support across the Division for analytical and modelling improvement and innovation. Undertake ‘real data’ proof of concept projects for new analytical, robotics, machine learning and other modelling approaches, applications and methodologies. You’ll be part of a centre of excellence for industry leading techniques in data mining, predictive modelling, machine learning, Virtual Reality, robotics and analytical data visualisation.
In this is high profile role you’ll develop and deliver robotics using advanced and novel robotic process automation (RPA) techniques.
About the role:
In joining this team, you’ll focus on the following:
• Use your robotics expertise to advise on technical best practice and proactively seek opportunities for testing improved approaches.
• Fully consider the implications and wider business impact; apply own commercial and technical knowledge to understand the business impact for stakeholders and lead communication with them.
• Deliver developments to ensure the upmost technical quality and ease of implementation. Ensuring also that business requirements are met; planning and workload is handled appropriately to deliver on time and within budget.
• Display a “can do” attitude to meeting stakeholder requirements and lead by example.
• Provide technical leadership, sharing knowledge to increase technical standards within the Innovation Team and the wider Risk community.
• Adapt communication style and approaches to articulate findings, business impacts and recommendations across the risk community.
• Own the development, validation and implementation aspects of robotics developments, using innovative and creative methods.
About you:
• A good degree in a numerate subject with knowledge of advanced statistical and analytical techniques.
• Experience of extracting and manipulating data, to support analytical or system development.
• Strong experience in computer-based robotics software (BluePrism)
• The ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical colleagues and to management; experience of formal presentations to senior management and tailoring communication to different audiences.
• A natural ability with numbers, being able to work quickly and at a high level of detail and accuracy, demonstrating also a highly analytical approach to problem solving.
A Postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject (maths, statistics, operational research, economics) would be desirable.
