The Role: S&P Global Market Intelligence is seeking an Associate Editor for its EMEA Financial Institutions news team in London. On a daily basis, you will edit news articles covering a range of topics, including M&A, executive moves, capital markets activity and regulation, for accuracy, style and content, and to tight deadlines. You will help shape our daily content by developing fresh story ideas and delivering sharp, concise content using in-house data sources while curating and prioritizing news coverage. You will also use your strong leadership skills to manage, coach and mentor team members.

The EMEA Financial Institutions team is part of our fast-growing, sector-focused Newsroom, which comprises hundreds of reporters and editors from across five continents.

Requirements:
• Proven business journalism experience
• Deep knowledge of the financial sector
• Exceptional editing skills, with an ability to deliver sharp, concise content to real-time, daily and weekly deadlines
• A keen eye for detail and potential legal issues, and an appreciation of the value of precise, stylistically consistent writing
• An affinity for analyzing numbers, using in-house data intelligence, financial reports and other industry information.
• Leadership experience
• Fluency in English necessary, plus knowledge of another major European language, or experience of working with multilingual teams, is desirable.
