The job involves driving modern Artic Lorries and Curtain side trailer to collection and delivery points in South East England and Greater London. The hours could be a 10 hours a day and at times a 12 hours day. Loads must be securely fastened, training will be provided for loading the loads correctly.
The work involved is driving to and from warehouse, distribution hubs, airport and container ports. All additional driver training which contributes to CPC will be taken care of by our company including ADR packaging and tanks, driver efficiency training, Driver PPE to be provided by our company. Sick and holiday pays are included in the job offering. We are offering a x3 months contract which in turn turns automatically into a permanent employment position with the company.
You will be transporting a variety of our products which include food stuffs, general materials and Fuel and chemical products. The job is Monday to Friday from early morning hours to evening, an average shift is typically 10 hours depending on traffic conditions.
In some cases the day maybe shorter for short hauls. The job is salaried at a rate of 37k +per annum with bonus incentives for being punctual and driving eco efficient. The odd day we might have a hauling job for a Saturday morning shift but this is ad hoc. Their is opportunity for future promotions including inventory/stock management, transport manager positions, including courses free for truck mechanical engineering, Transport Manager CPC, ADR Petroleum Passport certifications and qualifications.
Knowledge of UK roads and traffic laws is essential.
As you would be seeing customers on a daily basis a good level of English speaking and writing is needed.
