A rare opportunity to utilise your knowledge of HGV vehicles in an operational role for a client with their UK head office in Hull. The role in an interesting one with a mix of using your technical understanding of vehicles in an operational capacity. Reporting to senior management you will work autonomously and be expected to travel on occasion around the UK and Europe.

Key responsibilities:

Overseeing and managing the repair and maintenance of vehicles based all over Europe
Building relationships with key suppliers and ensuring cost effectiveness and accurate repairs are completed
Updating maintenance schedules
Building technical knowledge of BIB Chassis, Tipping/Bulk Chassis, BIB Containers, Pressure Tanks Dry Bulk containers
Conducting training with drivers
Completing regular checks and site visits as and when required
The candidate:

You will have a technical understanding of HGV vehicles and be flexible on travelling as and when required. Some operational and IT skills will be required to manage all information on a computerised system including the use of Microsoft Excel. This role would suit an individual who has worked as an HGV Fitter previously and have since transferred that knowledge away from a pure workshop role.

On offer:

A full time office based permanent position in West Hull working office hours Monday to Friday. There will be the need to handle some calls and issues outside of normal working hours.
