Summary

We are seeking a skilled HGV1 Driver to join our dynamic team at Halcion Express Ltd in Newcastle under Lyme, ST5 9QH.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in our logistics operations, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods while upholding our commitment to exceptional service.

Responsibilities

Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods.
Ensure timely deliveries according to scheduled routes.
Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling of materials.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle inspections.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status.
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Conduct routine maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients.
Qualifications

Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience as a truck driver or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and traffic laws.
Ability to operate various types of commercial vehicles (e.g., box trucks, flatbeds).
Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
Mechanical knowledge is a plus but not mandatory.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners.
