Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with fridge units and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. As a HGV Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Responsibilities

Operate units pulling both fridge and curtain sider trailers safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
Load and unload secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
Deliver goods to designated locations, ensuring timely arrival and adherence to delivery schedules.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries.
Communicate effectively with despatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road.
Follow all safety protocols and company policies while on duty.
Flexibility is essential especially during busy times. A requirement to do on average 2/3 night out per week.
Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with trolley operations is an advantage, however training will be provided.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
