HGV Driver – Class 2

HIAB Certificate
RTITB Fork Lift Truck licence
Nights out maybe required and will be paid for

Location: Doncaster / Tipton / Sandy Department: Install Working Hours: 45 hours per week Reports to: Distribution Supervisor

Overview We are seeking a skilled HGV Driver to deliver and collect Heras products, ensuring timely deliveries and a high standard of customer service. This role involves travel across Doncaster, Sandy and Tipton, outdoor work in all weather conditions, and a strong focus on health and safety and load efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver and collect products on time and in full, while optimising load schedules for cost efficiency.
Maintain accurate stock control and ensure yard organisation meets health and safety standards.
Complete accurate paperwork transactions and keep records auditable.
Ensure company vehicles are clean, well-maintained and presentable.
Adhere to health and safety training and requirements; perform daily risk assessments as needed.
Work as part of a multi-skilled team and cover other duties as required.
Build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and customers.
Comply with Driving and Working Time Regulations; check inspection dates for slings, HIAB, tachographs, and licenses for yourself and vehicles.
Maintain awareness of perimeter protection products as part of the role (desirable).
What You’ll Do

Plan and execute deliveries across Doncaster, Sandy, and Tipton branches.
Manage stock checks and ensure an auditable trail for all movements.
Provide exceptional customer service and support the customer experience.
Carry out day-to-day workplace risk assessments and take appropriate action.
Collaborate with team members and adapt to changing priorities.
Essential Qualifications, Skills & Training

Full UK driving licence (Class 2)
HIAB Certificate
RTITB Fork Lift Truck licence
Basic numeracy and literacy
Basic computer skills
Health and safety awareness
Manual handling awareness
Excellent communication skills; able to resolve issues effectively
Flexible, proactive, able to work to tight timescales
Strong personal and professional commitment; reliable team player
Experience

Previous experience in a similar driver role
Geographical knowledge of the delivery area
