Main function of the job:
Responsible for managing implementation of the EMEA Compliance plan working with the Compliance management team to remediate identified gaps and drive forward compliance transformation plans in EMEA.
Responsible for providing periodic updates as requested verbally and in writing and collating and escalating any matters affecting scope of project or timely delivery.
Work closely with stakeholders and manage the multi-location work streams to execute and deliver on time against the plan and the milestones identified therein.
Responsibilities:
Interact with senior Compliance leadership and major stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of the EMEA Compliance plan. Responsibilities include:
- Work with members of the Compliance team in their identification of requirements, development of plans and solutions;
- Manage work streams; overseeing program/project control and related risks;
- Manage program/project financials;
- Work closely with all work stream leads to monitor, track and disseminate information regarding status of project.
Market Skills and Certifications
Skills/Experience Required:
- Educated to BSc level (or equivalent)
- Proven project management experience in a Compliance or Risk environment
- Strong management experience
- Experience working in a risk management function for a bank or other financial institution. Familiarity with the products/services offered by Wells Fargo, including features and life-cycle, and a general understanding of how each of these businesses operates
- Experience working in a project management function and in identifying gaps and advising on, promoting, developing and implementing suitable controls, policies and procedures to effectively monitor and mitigate that gap
- Good understanding of the general operation of international financial markets, international trade, and the conduct of business on a cross-border basis
- Qualities of character to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholder groups Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills; self-motivated; ability to manage to a set of deadlines and deliverables with no need for supervision
- Good understanding of the workings of a full service global financial institution and the purpose and importance of ensuring effective oversight, risk management and corporate governance.
