Global Reference Data Operations (GRDO) provide best-in-class reference data solutions and operations services in a timely, consistent, cost effective, high quality manner. We develop and drive global implementation of firmwide standards for defining, collecting, maintaining, consuming and distributing reference data. This enables multiple lines of business across J.P. Morgan Chase to leverage consistent, high-quality client reference data. Functions include; Pricing, Instrument, Finance and Client Reference data.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to assist with the delivery of a strategic project with a Technology budget of approximately $2mm (2018). The initiative is part of our firmwide reference data strategy and involves the transformation of our strategic instrument master (GIM) to allow federated ownership and authorship of reference data across different lines of business where they may be expert in a particular field.
This is a multi-year program but 2018 delivery will include the technical & functional design of the architecture that will support this initiative as well as operating model design and implementation of a pilot phase.
Key Responsibilities:
Dealing with multiple Technology and Operations stakeholders ensure that requirements are gathered, understood and translated into meaningful technical delivery
Ensure that all stakeholder requirements are properly understood and incorporated into the redesign of the Operating Model required to support the changes in technical infrastructure
Provide frequent, clear & structured updates for consumption by the Chief Data Office PMO team, LOB stakeholders and senior steering committee. Knowledge, skills and experience required:
Bachelor’s degree and significant experience delivering enterprise-level technical and operational change
Strong leadership skills and ability to work in a highly dynamic environment with changing and multiple priorities
Strong project management & business analysis experience, preferably in a cross-LOB/function role
Track record of execution against set milestones
Excellent relationship management and influencing skills
Ability to prioritize and manage expectations
Familiarity with Instrument reference data, end-to-end reference data flows. Reference data domain-specific expertise is a plus
Very strong written and oral executive-level communication skills, including the ability to quickly adjust messages based on different audiences and agendas
Familiarity with firmwide and industry trends, issues, practices, and new technologies.
