Corporate Banking Global Group (CBG Global) supports the international needs of Wells Fargo’s corporate customers in Wholesale Banking. CBG Global focuses on Multinational Corporates partnering then with domestic subsidiaries via CBG US verticals, as well as U.S. parented companies international subsidiaries. Our mission is to be the premier provider of financial services to companies engaged in international commerce. We achieve this by delivering an integrated suite of corporate, investment banking, payment, trade, and credit products that leverage the global capabilities of Wells Fargo.
We have an opening for a Business Manager on our CAO team directly supporting the EMEA region group leader.
The role will drive execution through operations, business planning, and sales initiatives supporting wholesales customer’s international needs. This role will enhance sales and operations by running cross continent and multi LOB projects, region and client financial performance analysis, and strategic planning across Wells Fargo’s international footprint. Key skill sets are project management, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, data analysis, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key activities performed include:
- Support EMEA group head as their head of strategy, execution, performance analysis, and project execution
- Represent CBG Global’s value proposition and jointly set strategy with EMEA group head, internal partners across product groups, and corporate banking U.S. Verticals to maximize international business opportunities for Wells Fargo.
- Lead execution of product partnering on behalf of EMEA group head, including:
- Set and track goals with consistent communication cadence to leadership, offices, and bankers highlighting performance metrics
- Identify and interpret performance metrics into actionable recommendations and business insight for bankers and leadership – telling the story of both successes and areas of opportunity
- Enhance the sales workflow via serving as the business owner liaising to technical teams responsible for metrics reporting and sales tools
- Analyse sales activity reports assessing regional, product, or individual performance
- Thought leadership in developing sales, cross sell, analytics, collaboration and research solutions
- Manage implementations of sales process change within CBG Global – i.e. new relationship plan process, CRM management, etc.
- Drive content for annual strategic planning sessions, product partner strategy sessions, and executive management presentations
- Support compliance/remediation efforts for CBG EMEA Bankers from initial communication to document retention
- Research customer information and data across multiple Wholesale tools and platforms, including but not limited to: ProfitView, WCIS, GLUE, RelationshipView, and Salesforce.com
- Assist in managing the various Brexit work streams for CBG EMEA as we migrate to the new target operating model.
Market Skills and Certifications
Basic Qualifications
A proven track record within banking experience with strong capabilities in strategic planning, project management, sales, and analytics
Ideal Qualifications
- Understanding of Wholesale Banking , credit and compliance culture and corporate investment banking model
- Experience in financial analysis including company assessment (i.e. leverage, working capital, etc.), global market awareness (i.e. currency, commodities, trade, etc.), and internal client/LOB financial performance analysis.
- Experience with customer relationship management systems (CRMs)
- Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture relationships with a broad-based network of professionals and organizations
- Project management experience, strong organizational and negotiation skills
- Ability to organize workload, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively approach, influence, and develop business relationships with domestic and international team members
- Strong presentation, problem solving, communication, and analytical skills required
- MBA or related experience.
Required Skills
- Ability to drive sales behaviour with reporting design, customer and market segmentation, team member compensation, and coverage models
- Understanding of sales process, including lead identification, market research, sales pitch, follow-up, and executive reporting
- Familiar with Wholesale lending practices, Wells Fargo Securities line of business, and CBG Industry Vertical alignment.
