Due to continued growth, Cordwallis Heathrow has a vacancy for a skilled and flexible HGV technician to join our Night Shift.

Working predominantly with MAN Trucks & Isuzu Trucks this role is to support our network of customers keep their vehicles moving throughout the day. The main work completed overnight is routine inspections, servicing and basic repairs – however this can be varied and flexible based on your ability and experience.

What’s on offer:

Basic salary including a night shift payment £55,264.00 per annum
40 Hours per week
Start 10.00pm and finishing at 6.30am
All other hours worked paid at overtime 1.5 rate
Additional Bonus based on productivity/efficiency: £6000 (Up to £500 per month)
Uniform and PPE supplied
Small friendly night team!

Excellent communication skills are required for this shift to ensure that any delays are communicated to our customers with absolute urgency.

Additional overtime is available during the day – as well as the opportunity to develop your skills working with our in house diagnostic technicians on more in-depth repairs.

You’ll work at Cordwallis Group with MAN, Mercedes & Isuzu Trucks some of the world’s leading manufacturers of heavy commercial vehicles. You’ll carry out roadside diagnosis and repairs for customers in distress as well as service, maintenance, and repairs on some of the most respected trucks in the industry and will enjoy continued development and training at our industry-leading training centres.

Let’s be clear – The ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) will continue for the next 25 years and beyond – it isn’t all Electric!

Preferred but not essential requirements

HGV Manufacturer Training/Accreditation preferred
Level 3 Qualification desired, however, we will consider time served applications over 5 years with proven experience
LGV/HGV/PCV Licence an advantage
IRTEC accreditation desirable but not essential as we have IRTEC courses available
