An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced HGV technician in the Airdrie area, although you will have your own company van as mobile work is required. The successful candidate will be responsible for service, inspection and repair work to company and customer vehicles in line with VOSA standards. The candidate should be willing to work one in four for our 24hr call out.

Job role

Service, maintenance and repairs to a range of commercial vehicle
Diagnosing vehicle faults and rectifying defects
Carrying out 6 weekly inspections
Preventative maintenance
Attend roadside breakdowns
Adhering to health and safety
Preparing vehicles for MOT
Road test vehicle when required (if holder of HGV license)
Requirements

Previous experience as an HGV Mechanic is essential
Drivers license essential
Work using your own initiative
Able to adapt to a busy role
Class 1 or 2 license desirable
