Hourly Rate Overview (dependent on HGV experience):

£18.00 per hour, Saturday – £27.00 per hour.
Shift Hours

Monday to Friday Day Shift. Flexible start and finish times agreed with Line Manager prior to start date based on 40 hours basic and overtime.
Weekend on call and standby rates available

At A&D Logistics we maintain our fleet of over 180 trailers and 75 trucks to a high standard by our expertly trained team in the excellent workshop facilities we have on site. We offer the same professional service to external customers using the latest diagnostic and repair equipment.

Recently this has led to a Partnership with Renault Trucks Scotland to become a West of Scotland service point for them. With the latest diagnostic and repair equipment we aim to deliver high standards and responsive service levels for all their customers.

With this expansion we are now recruiting for full time HGV & Trailer Technician to join our team. Working within our workshop and responding to callouts in a time sensitive and efficient manner. HGV experience essential and trailer experience preferable.

Responsibilities of the role include:

Ensuring the Fleet are compliant to Roadworthiness Regulations
Maintaining Fleet compliance through regular service inspections
Preparing vehicles for MOT testing
Callout ROTA covering fleet and Renault 24/7 vehicles
Weekend shift ROTA
Responding to defect reporting processes and carrying out rectifications on Fleet vehicles and customer vehicles
Communication with all teams to ensure no impact on Transport Operation
Competences and Qualifications:

High level of problem solving and team working
Excellent communication skills and a high level of flexibility
Ability to perform to high standards
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Repair and Maintenance (for HGV Mechanics)
IT literate
Previous commercial vehicles experience
Able to demonstrate knowledge and experience as an HGV Mechanic – Essential
LGV C+E licence beneficial not essential
