Asset Management – Global Trading Agreements Group (GTAG) – Repo Negotiator – Vice President
The Global Asset Management Business is looking for a motivated individual to join the Global Trading Agreements Group, a business-aligned negotiation team to be primarily responsible for the drafting and negotiations of Repurchase Agreements (bilateral as well as tri-party agreements). Individual should have knowledge the regulatory landscape affecting repo trading, as well as knowledge of derivatives and ISDA/CSA Master Agreements.
The Role:
Negotiate, draft and review repurchase agreements such as MRA, GMRA and related tri-party documents
Review and update templates and relevant internal approval procedure
Setup all necessary accounts with external trading counterparties prior to entering into transactions on behalf of each Asset Management fund/client
Negotiate and execute necessary amendments to existing bilateral and tri-party repos agreements, especially in light of regulatory changes
Be a contact point for explaining agreements and representing JPMAM’s position to internal stakeholders and external counterparties. Position involves frequent interaction and coordination with Legal, Counterparty Risk, Portfolio Managers, Client Service, Operations, and Business Management teams and as such the Individual will be expected to develop strong relationships with various groups involved internally and with counterparts at other financial institutions and strong interpersonal skills will be required
Save and profile executed agreements in the Legal Portal
Qualifications
Repos master agreement negotiation experience (inclusive of MRAs/GMRAs as well as related tri-party agreements)
Legal degree or equivalent preferred
Strong drafting and negotiation skills as well as robust understanding of the key data terms in agreements and how they should be used by various internal teams
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Polished verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
Ability to present in small or large group settings
Ability to identify relevant issues and analyze them quickly and effectively
Ability to manage projects and work independently
Team player, confident and proactive
Must be literate in Microsoft programs (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, etc.)
