Career Summary

Bus Driver July 2022 – Current Stagecoach

I work driving both single and double-decker buses from the Walkergate Depot. I work both quite and busy routes including 12, 18, 22, X22, 37, 38, 39, 40, 54, 62, 63, X63 and 317 transporting passengers to and from destinations, while maintaining high levels of concentration to avoid and accidents, follow all traffic regulations and remain on schedule safely. Each route needs different levels of patience and level-headedness when dealing with the different types of passengers and I easily adapt to each situation, in a calm and professional manner. I provide passengers with excellent customer service and general knowledge I have of the bus routes, while taking and handling the various bus fares available. When necessary I also assist disabled passengers and utilize the wheelchair access safely. Also during emergency I am trained to act with good judgement and quickly to keep myself and passengers safe. My duties also require me to complete daily paperwork and inspection of the bus I will be using, utilising knowledge and training to make sure the bus is safe to drive.
