Started working at Thorntons 1997 as a production operative, working on belts packing chocolates, then learnt to maintain and fix the machines, also learnt to use a pump truck to move pallets and finished goods into locations. In 2008 passed my hgv class 2 and started to drive for thorntons delivering to retail shops and also had responsibilities of being key holders and letting ourselves into shops while no1 was there early in a morning, delivering products which meant carrying the goods upstairs or downstairs wherever they needed the stock, had knowledge on how to use a tail lift as well on the trucks. In 2021 I passed my hgv class 1 so have had 2 years experience on them delivering to rdc’s on nights which I really enjoyed doing.
