I’m looking for a position for an operations /transport manager within passenger transport

WORK EXPERIENCE

OperationsManager – Crawley, UK
2015-04 – Present
Crawley
My ultimate roll is to allocate both drivers and vehicles for the work on the system. I have been
successful in securing contracts for the company as a team effort and on my on merits. I’m also a qualified
international CPC holder, so i’m also responsible for the compliance of the company under the current EC
regulations. In addition to these rolls i’m also responsible for recruitment and disciplinary actions. I enter all
the work into the computer ready for allocating.

Operations Manager
Merstham, Surrey, UK
2014-09 – 2015-04
My roll here was to assist in the allocation of buses and drivers, to local authority and commercial bus routes,
monitor those routes and to also leave the office and go out to do
revenue checking when necessary. I would also be the first point of contact for our on road
supervisors, to deal with any events or discrepancies that were out of their remit. I was also the first step in
any disciplinary hearings and would then have to compile reports should the matter
be appealed and go to the next level. On occasions i would also go out and drive if a driver
failed to report for duty or was running late.

Supervisor
Churchill Services – Crawley, West Sussex, UK
2014-01 – 2014-09
This was a totally different roll for me, the contract held by Churchill services, was for the
South East Ambulance Service. My duties here after training were to oversee a team of 6-8 and ensure that
the ambulances were cleaned and prepped in accordance with the guidelines set out to.

required attention, the roll also involved liasing with the vehicle
engineers and get them in for service on time, fault reporting and allocating to shifts for the crews.
01/2014 Operations Manager
Premier Transport – Crawley, West sussex
My role on this occasion was as before, allocating, recruitment and development of what at the time was a
company that had been operating under new ownership for only a few months, with
one full size coach, 2 midi coaches and a minibus. Upon leaving for family reasons a year later,
i had helped with my contacts and contract negotiation, built this upto a fleet of 8 vehicles and several signed
contracts.

Driver/Operations manager
PCV – Croydon, UK
2013-02 – 2013-02
Coachesetc – Croydon
I initally joined the company as a driver, driving anything from daily private hires, school
runs, airport transfers, sightseeing and extended tours. In 2012 i was taken ill with a heart attack and my
licence was temporarily revoked. My boss then took me into the office, and it was there
that i learnt the other side of the buisiness. Firstly general admin, then entering the work into the computer,
progressing upto allocations.

Driver
PCV – Innsbruck, AT
2011-05 – 2011-05
Beat the Street – Innsbruck, Austria
This was probably the highlight of my driving career and a good test of my driving skills. The
roll involved driving bands all over Europe, the driving of these coaches is different to what i
call normal coaching as you have people sleeping in beds, loose crockery and other items throughout the
coach, it was the drivers responsibilty to ensure that these people weren’t thrown from their beds or hit with
any falling objects. In addition to this i had to make up beds, clean and restock the coach at each venue
