HGV Class 2 Driver & Furniture Technician
I gained my HGV Class 2 Drivers Licence in August 2017 and was employed by Wincanton as a Driver for M&S.
Having worked with this company for several months now, I have gained many valuable skills relating to the effective driving and operating of larger vehicles, as well as the importance of excellent customer service.
Tachograph and CPC training is up to date.
Have become competent in the completion of vehicle safety checks before the commencement of each job.
I drive the vehicles safely, confidently and with increasing skill, and have become mindful of the importance of saving fuel when driving – fuel efficiency is essential.
Moreover, I have become experienced in the moving and handling of large items of furniture into and around the vehicles, the assembling of these pieces within customers’ homes, and the importance of adhering to customer time slots by working efficiently.
I have demonstrated an ability to work within a team and engage with other members of the team in a professional and friendly manner.
Similarly, I have built a strong reputation for professional and courteous customer service when delivering items to customers and go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.
In June 2018, I was awarded Employee of the Month as a result of my strong customer relations and positive reviews.

Theatre Porter
While working within the Theatre department of Ross Hall Hospital, I acquired many invaluable skills.
First and foremost, I developed strong relations with patients and staff, since continuous contact and care with patients was required. On numerous occasions, I was commended for my friendliness and professionalism from both patients and staff alike.
In addition, my timekeeping and organisation skills have been put to good use; it was integral that I worked efficiently and thoroughly to prepare and deliver patients for their surgeries, adhering to the strict timeline set by each surgeon.
As part of my role, I gained extensive knowledge of the flow of operations within a hospital theatre to ensure the efficient running of the department.
I also gained experience of training new members of staff coming into the department; I was esponsible for giving them knowledge of the role and showing them the ropes.

Throughout my time working within a warehousing environment, I attained numerous transferable skills which I will continue to develop.
I was trained to a high level in every aspect of the job and worked in a demanding environment.
Despite the high-pressure, I was enthusiastic and thrived when depended upon to carry out tasks accurately and to the best of my abilities. Consequently, I became highly skilled in handling and moving techniques.
My knowledge of Health and Safety procedures is accurate and up-to-date.
I was able to carry out instructions in a timely manner and express initiative to do get the job done when working alone or in a team. This was a crucial aspect of my role and contributed to the streamlined flow of operations.

I aspired to deliver the best results for the company. As a result, I was placed in positions of leadership at unexpected times with little notice given, requiring me to rapidly adapt and flourish in unfamiliar conditions.

I spend a significant amount of my spare time improving and reworking cars and have gained experience regarding the processes involved in the modification and upkeep of cars.
I am very involved in sport; I like to keep healthy by going to the gym on a regular basis and I participate in football games weekly.
