Personal Statement

I am a self-motivated and sophisticated individual, who is keen on expanding my skill set and qualifications.  As well as confidence, I have also gained good customer service and people skills – due to dealing with many individuals throughout hospitality work.  I like to make the most of my spare time doing things such as exercising, socialising and doing things that will help make a change through volunteering.  For example, completing my National Citizenship Service – during this, I learnt and received a certificate for community first aid, participated in many personal development activities, raised money for a local homeless charity and by the end, I received recognition from the Prime Minister and received a personal thank you for my work within our community.

Work Experience

Front of House, The Beaconsfield – (2015 – 2022)

During my time here, I have improved and gained many people skills as my job required me to interact with customers face to face.  Daily tasks included:

Meeting the demand of customers whilst under pressure.
Ensuring customers feel welcomed and relaxed.
Maintaining a clean and professional image for the company.
Handling and counting vast amounts of money.

Police – (April 2017)

As part of my college course, I gained experience with the police. During which, I patrolled areas which had a high crime rate and interacted with the residents that lived there.  I learned about the residents themselves and what they had experienced through questionnaires that I conducted with them.  At the end of my experience, I produced a report and presentation for the police informing them of many crimes that the residents had experienced, as well as their recommendations for preventing crime.  I also included theories as to why certain areas and individuals are targeted.

Online Driver, Sainsbury’s – (2022 – present)

My role at Sainsbury’s placed me in the heart of the community, carrying the responsibility of delivering shopping to the customers door.  During this role, I drove and navigated through different environments and routes, oftentimes in remote areas, to provide a service and deliver to the customers door.  Due to the nature of the role, I met and helped many different types of members of the community on a daily basis, providing a helping hand to those who are limited by disabilities and age.

Dog Walker – (2022 – present)

What started out as a goodwill favour for a few friends and acquaintances turned into a self-employed practice and part time job.  Though this job is not an everyday thing, I often see and walk dogs for people who’s movement may be limited due to disabilities and age or for people who may not have the time due to career and work commitments.

Hobbies & Interests

I am a healthy and highly active individual who has always had an interest in politics and public services.  I like to spend my free time wisely, often keeping fit by participating in activities in and outside of the gym, whilst also practising a healthy diet.  I have a passion for the outdoors and often spend my days off hiking and scrambling.  When I am not in the gym or outdoors, I like to dedicate some time towards reading, preferably non fiction books as I like to learn and improve my understanding and knowledge from other people’s experiences.
