Installation and hanging of artwork in a safe and diligent manner.
Carrying out the packing and unpacking of artworks.
Working with couriers from lending institutions, under their instruction and also providing knowledge and ability to do the job to the best standard.
Representing Tate on courier trips abroad, working professionally and promptly with all manner of people.
Senior Art Handling Technician, Tate Modern.
This was a 3 month secondment in which I took on the Senior Art Handling Technician role and led on a few large projects.
The three projects I led on happened concurrently proving my time management and organisational skills and team management.
Studio Assistant, Oliver Beer,, London
My role working for Oliver Beer was primarily in the fabrication of his artworks. I was hired as a painter for the artworks but moved on to do most tasks around the studio including the casting process for his panel-based artworks.
I was responsible for packing most of the work going to an exhibition so organised with the shippers when they would arrive and collect to get things ready in time.

Junior Technician, Sadie Coles HQ, London
My role at Sadie Coles HQ was multifaceted, working across 3 spaces. (the two gallery spaces and a storage/viewing space)
I liaised with the registrars regarding artworks coming in and out, condition checking everything and organising stock checks in the small storage spaces we had available.
I assisted all the freelance technicians in getting shows ready in time, whilst documenting the process of installing more arduous works of art and formatting all this information into many installation instruction documents.

Art Technician/Porter, Adam Crease Shipping, Unit 1 Skyport Heathrow, Armadale Road
My duties with Adam Crease Shipping were varied due to the nature of the work. Being an art shipping company my role was split between the warehouse and being on the road transporting and delivering/installing artworks.
I was the face of the company and very often was collecting or delivering to personal addresses so a strong customer focus and a polite and patient attitude was essential to completing my work.
I also instigated and established a training programme for the company, and was responsible for the first introduction to art handling & packing to many of the new employees.

NAS (National Autistic Society) Project Worker, After-school clubs in Surrey area
Organising and leading an after-school hours club in 2 locations on separate evenings during the week. The clubs are for children with Autism and the ages range from 6-11 to 14-18 depending on the club.
Responsibilities include enabling the children to enjoy themselves in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, enhancing the children’s communication abilities through engagement with several different tasks each week and dealing with difficulties that may arise through any of the stages.
Curtis Ward Art Shop, Retail Assistant Walton-on-Thames
Primarily assisting customers in finding what they need, restocking shelves and working the till.
Using knowledge to be able to provide customers with the best experience and ability to use their purchases effectively.
Being first point of contact with the public for any enquiries relating to the store.
Waterstones Book Shop, Retail Assistant Walton-on-Thames
Starting as a ‘Christmas temp’ to assist during the store’s busiest period I continued working throughout the year.
I organised the stock and the themed sections, and assisted customers in being able to find the products they needed, or ordering the product into the store if needed.
Doing evening stock-takes to account for all stock in the store.
Homebase, Replenishment Assistant Walton-on-Thames
Working in the evening primarily on replenishing the shelves and dressing all the products.
Assisting customers find what they needed during the period of time the store was open.
Operate light machinery for the efficient transport of goods throughout the store and behind scenes in the warehouse.

Computer literacy – I am a capable user of both Microsoft Office and Google Suite. I have experience of using databases and am skilled at learning new systems and applications quickly.
