I am a hard-working, determined and reliable worker. I am both capable and willing, and I approach all tasks with enthusiasm. I enjoy being given roles of responsibility, and I endeavour to display my strong desire and passion for knowledge. I enjoy achieving results that I can take pride in and solving puzzles presented by my work. From this I have learnt the value of perseverance. Although I ultimately aspire for a role that will suit both my interests and skills, I am also keen to learn more and gain more experience in a variety of fields.
Work Experience:
February 2019-pres Product Content Writer – Farfetch
Farfetch is the global platform for luxury fashion, the one-and-only destination for new-season style and the latest trends, as well as iconic pre-owned vintage-style items of seasons gone by.
As a writer for Farfetch, I work to high targets and frequent deadlines, delivering pieces of strong, informative and humorous copy that relate to the pieces and brands that I write on behalf of.
At Farfetch, I believe that my writing skills have bloomed, growing yet more sophisticated and multi-dimensional with every day. As well as this, I have learnt the value of targets, both in the sense of self-motivation and gratification, but also in the sense of time-management.
During my time in this role I have also gained a wealth of skills and knowledge in the realms of leadership, presenting, innovation and organisation through training, public speaking and supporting my peers wherever possible.
December 2018-January 2019 Freelance Copywriter – Secret Sales
Secret Sales is an exclusive members-only marketplace for highly discounted designer items from brands such as Gucci, Mulberry, G-star and Golden Goose.
As a freelancer for this client, I provided copy in two forms. The first being lengthy and luxurious brand and sale biographies, as well as the product descriptions themselves. I came to delight in the former, relishing the opportunity to use a lavish and decadent tone of voice.
November 2018-January 2019 Freelance Copywriter – alexandalexa.com
Alexandalexa.com is a chic online marketplace for all overlaps in the venn diagram of kidswear, home items, toys and top designers.
As a freelancer for this client, I provided copy in the form of detailed product descriptions. As a writer more familiar with extended pieces of writing, I learned to adapt my writing style to deliver fashion-forward content with dynamic energy in as little as two lines.
September 2018-December 2019 Freelance Journalist – Trends & Tags
Trends & Tags is an online marketplace, featuring editorials and blogs.
For this client, I wrote a weekly feature about how shoes and sneakers have come to hold such importance in the world of modern fashion entitled ‘Got Sole?’, as well as other articles that I pitch myself.
September 2018-December 2019 Contributing Freelance Writer – Subscript. It Online Magazine
Subscript. It is an online magazine and news page specialising in ‘under-represented’ content – the stories that don’t make the headlines but are still of importance.
As a freelancer for this client, I specialised in the ‘style’ category of their content, making my writing debut on their site with an article entitled ‘Celebrities who used Halloween to make a statement’, investigating ‘celebrities who are using their fame – and Halloween costumes – to shout about important issues’, including political and social commentaries.
October 2018-December 2018 Freelance Fashion Journalist – Aispi
Aispi is an online fashion journal, focused on and dedicated to emerging European designers.
For this client, I regularly did interviews and blog posts, but my role focused hugely on ‘blog storming’ – i.e. controlling the blog and generating ideas for it to ensure maximum readability.
September 2018-December 2018 Content Producer – ‘Unblock’ Online Fashion Magazine
Unblock is an online fashion magazine, dedicated to quality fashion journalism and news.
During this period of my work for them, I wrote several press articles for SS19 London Fashion Week, including Victoria Beckham’s collection.
From this I grew and developed my experience in fashion writing, relying on my analytic and descriptive skills to capture the essence of a collection.
September 2018 Content Producer – ‘Convershaken’
Convershaken is an online news website with stories in Entertainment, Business, Technology, People, Science and Politics – existing to “shake up your conversation”.
With this client, I pitched my ideas for journalistic-style articles before writing and producing them in the client’s desired voice and tone.
August 2018 Journalist, Writer and Social Media Intern – ‘Keep Fit Kingdom’
In this position, I became a regular contributor to the company ‘Keep Fit Kingdom’s’ website, providing articles and journalistic pieces detailing the world of health and fitness.
From this I grew my journalistic skills and quickly took on extra responsibilities such as product and sample reviews.
June 2018 Contributing Writer/Blogger – ‘You, Me & Anxiety’
As a regular contributor to the blog ‘You, Me & Anxiety’, I write frequent articles concerning the de-stigmatisation of mental health issues – soon becoming the first writer to be featured on the ‘column’ section of the blog.

Having always had a passion and interest for English and Gender Studies, I wrote a blog on the applications and relevance of feminism in the modern era – ‘Love Me Gender’.
