Senior Solids Control Engineer: Employed by GPS/ENI SAIPEM. Working in Cuba, Trinidad, Togo, Ghana, Angola and Indonesia. My role includes all aspects of solids control including operation and maintenance of all solids control equipment onboard the SSDR Scarabeo 9 and 7. The equipment includes 5 x AXIOM shale shakers, 10x screw conveyors, 2 x SWACO 518 centrifuges, 2 x CSI Cuttings dryers, 2 x SWACO T10 D-Silter’s, 2 x SWACO degassers and SAMSON VACUT & VACLEAN Vacuum systems and a SWACO CCB cuttings blower Including completing planned maintenance to all the above equipment using the AMOS maintenance system. Also daily skip tracking, sample retorts and daily reports.
Material Control: Employed by Halliburton – Clyde Facility. Working in Completion & Intervention department sending/receiving dangerous goods by road, air & sea also Halliburton completion/cement tools to various client owned drilling platforms. Also responsible for handling all stores related issues such as goods receipts, proper location of inventory in the warehouse, goods issues, inventory control and reporting, shipping including packing and arranging transport. I have certification for all Forklifts up to 16T, combi-lift, 5T sideloader, Banksman Slinger and Overhead crane.
Field Service Engineer: Employed by Axiom Process LTD. Working as part of the Offshore Operations Team Involved in the installation, operation, maintenance and training with respect to company’s products. Installing solids control equipment (Triple Deck Shaker) on land /offshore platforms. Building equipment at company’s manufacturing warehouse.
Mud Handling Process & Containment Engineer: Employed by QTEC-Int. Recording retention of oil on cuttings for the EPA & DTI. Holding spill drills with rig crew on a weekly basis. Working closely with Mud Engineer monitoring pit levels and drilling fluids on rig. Making sure rig adheres to “0 %” discharge policy. Working on the West Atlas Jack up off Darwin, Australia. Development Driller 1, Gulf of Mexico. Delta Queen, Malta/Tunisia and various North Sea platforms.
Cuttings Re-Injection Operator: Operating various solids control equipment – Centrifuge, Centrifugal pumps, High pressure injection pumps, Vacuum units, Auger systems and Dryers. Working as Operator/Lead Operator for Brandt NOV & SWACO mainly on Nelson Platform, Ensco & Brent Delta Platforms.
Drill Cuttings Process Engineer/Heavy Plant Operator: TWMA. Employed as Senior Lead hand.
Operating Forklift Trucks (various sizes) unloading and rigging up offshore equipment – Rotomill, Cuttings Storage Transfer Units, CT units and Vacuum Units on various offshore/onshore Drilling Platforms. Offshore/onshore, Alexandria, Egypt.
Also have electrical, mechanical, fire safety & security experience gained prior to working offshore. I started working offshore in 1995 as Roustabout and progressed to Assistant Derickman before going into Solids Control/CRI.
