Good Afternoon

Please allow me a few moments of your time to introduce myself and give you a brief history of my work experience and outline my skill sets

In the hopes that you may consider me for any potential driving slots that may arise given my vast wealth of knowledge and expertise as a professional driver

Firstly my name is Dean I’m 56 years old I’ve been driving class 1s hgvs now for around 25 years now but in the last ten years as a international/ European and uk class 1 driver

I started my career doing general haulage and groupage on flats tautliners tilts and box trailers and even tippers this has given me a firm foundation of understanding loads carry everything of the years including explosives from Italy back to the uk

I’ve also done specialist movements in music events corporate events assisting with the rigging of sets and stages assisting crews to set up anything required for clients plus merchandise as well as film and television sets . medical shows and surgery demonstrations plus high value goods from sports cars to works in of art totalling many millions of pounds shipping throughout Europe from the UK and Ireland to mainland Europe & non European countries that border Europe I’ve driven to the artic circle to Russia and even as far as Asia

However times have changed and as a zero hours PAYE worker it is getting increasingly harder with what has happened in the world (COVID) and Brexit I firmly believe I’d benefit from being employed by a company such as yours

I believe I have the knowledge and experience & expertise you value so highly from your drivers.
Working as a team player or equally trusted to work alone on a solitary basis for weeks and sometimes months dependant on the clients needs once I was away for 6 months I’m happy doing this and have done so for many years now
It has become a way of life for me and takes a special kind of individual who’s committed to put life on hold at the drop of a hat which I am but most of all I enjoy my work so much as a driver / rigger I’m really lucky to do what I do. It’s a pleasure

I’m aware on a normal daily basis this would maybe not required of me to be away for longer periods other than Monday – Friday I totally accept that and I’m more than willing to do so but knowing I’m willing to go above and beyond should you ever need a driver to do so to meet the companies needs should show a willingness to go the extra mile to get jobs done and hopefully give me an advantage when maybe other drivers aren’t willing to do so.
