A new role supporting the Depot Manager in running the operation as well as responsibility for The Health & Safety & BRC aspect of the site, ensuring all policies, procedures and guidelines are
implemented and adhered to. I ensure I have the right team in place to operate the depot efficiently, safely and within legal constraints, whilst offering the highest customer service standards at
all time, coupled with managing and controlling the overhead budget.

Started- up the logistics Department at VQS to enhance the profitability of the “inspect & collect” model. Already we have 14 drivers covering the country and early signs are that we are makin

Following being made redundant, I returned to work two days later with the above role. I am responsible for multi- site legal responsibilities ( “O” license holder) of running a fleet along with a
50+ “platers” coupled with outside contractors’ and regularly organised the delivery and collection of over 2000 + vehicles a week, within the budgets associated with fleet & “HR” management. I
ensure the vehicles are routed in order for “Manheim Auctions” to collect and deliver in the most cost effective way within the set KPIs and exceeding profit expectations.
Area Manager (South)
“ICARE Group” – 2010-02 – 2011-05
Area Manager covering The South for The “ICARE” Group Meals on Wheels, operationally overseeing the four largest contracts. Delivering in excess of 20,000 meals per week. I have complete control
of budgets including stock coupled with full control of 96 vehicles presently covering the contract.
I have also excellent knowledge of “TUPE” and worked very closely with local Authorities and Unions on this
issue.

When made redundant I have continued working on a voluntary basis for The National Road Safety Charity “BRAKE” delivering hard hitting interactive road safety presentations to company drivers and
schools nationally. On the 25th June 2009 I was awarded The National Road Safety Ambassador of The Year for the work I have completed in the community delivering road safety messages as well as
work with bereaved parents. I also redesigned the 11 to 15 year olds workshop and gained sponsorship to support the project. I have coupled this with working with various employment agencies and H
& S consultancy / Vehicle consultancy work.

Responsible for detailing driver’s tasks and supervising of the servicing of the vehicles. Having sufficient of vehicle recovery and able to drive a number of different vehicles and maintain them.
Also took charge of the
unit servicing team. Between 1986 and 1989 I was appointed to the position of Bodyguard and Chauffeur to General Davies.
