HGV 2 Driver
SPDS – Aberdeen
March 2008 to July 2010
Working night shift : Trunking.
Duties included going to East Kilbride to SPDS main depot Mon-Fri and pick up 14 pallets of stationary and other items to bring back to Aberdeen depot for the distribution of the stationary items in Aberdeenshire. The vehicle was unloaded then the goods were sorted out and put in to the back of 6 or 8 vans for delivery. The job was to demanding, 55 hours a week.

2. I was also learning to be a Department of Transport Approved Driving Instructor with BSM during the day.
3. I completed the Department of Transport for Approved Driving Instructors hazard perception test and theory test, and also passed the practical driving test, and was fully trained for the instructional ability test, but ran out of time to complete it.

I set up a manufacturing company in Newburgh. ” Grampian Precast” made concrete products for the building trade! had work for Stewart Milne, Span Construction, Hall and Tawse and local buliders. The learning curve was to steep so it closed after 9 months.
I set up the company with the help of the” Princess Trust” and ” Nesda”
I had worked in building trade 5 years previous to that.. Thought it was better to try, then unfortunately fail, rather than not try at all. Learned money does not grow on trees.
