Dear Sir Madam,

I am excited to be applying to your company for the role of HGV driver.

I obtained a high pass mark in my driver CPC qualification and I understand how important it is to be fuel efficient and to reduce vehicle wear and tear where possible to reduce costs for the business. I have a lot of experience of doing this from the airline industry where I am a part time pilot at Leeds Bradford airport for Jet2.

I also understand the importance of health and safety and reliability to ensure all freight and vehicle occupants arrive securely and in good condition at the required time. Again, I have similar experience from the airline industry of moving air-freight and being responsible for high value items being delivered.

I really enjoy driving, seeing different parts of the country or local area and I am a friendly face to represent the company. I am also flexible and am happy to adapt to different working roles, patterns/shifts and locations.
