Car Transporter Driver

September 2017 to Present
I pick up scrap cars to bring back to base usually about 8 cars at once. Start at 7 am finish at 4 pm 5days a week.

I deliver milk to Tesco express’s, Salisbury, Lidl, Aldi, and there distribution centres of the shops that I mentioned. For two days of my shift I am a spare driver so I cover routes if need be. Start times change though the week earliest is 5.45. I do 10 hour shifts for 5 days a week.

I start my shift with my checks and pick trailer and deliver cages to M n S stores around and outer London. About two jobs a day, I take the empty’s back with me to base, and I have to unload all the empty’s in to depo, and that’s the end of a shift about 9 to 10 hours a day.

Driving with a empty trailer, going to destinations and wait to be loaded and go to a next drop. I do a lot a pick ups and drop off during the day. I drive to Cambridge the north Hampton, Peterbro, then back down to Maidstone Kent, then back down to Waltham Cross, 5 days a week.

I do multi drop to customers property’s delivering frozen and abi no frozen mainly to restaurants and cafes. Cash collection is apart of my job and bring it back to Base at the end of the day. I collect between 1,500 to 6,000 depending on the day. I do about 16 to 25 drops a day in central London mainly around Chelsea fullham and Hammersmith.

I’m a skip driver but I change from time to time as I drive roll on and off. I do about 3 to 4 jobs a day start at 6am and finish at 4 pm Monday to Friday and every other Saturday.

Responsibilities:
Multi drop driving around London, delivering frozen food. I meanly deliver to areas like, Edware, Hendon, Stamford Hill, Hackney. I deal with customers on a daily basis, we collect money and checks from customers. I work for 5 days a week on average, 9 to 10 hour days.
Accomplishments:
I dealt with customers everyday, and had to deliver to their stores.
Skills Used:
It taught me how to handle cash from customers and deal with them on a different scale. Gave me experience on multiple drops on a lorry that Wights 14 tones.
