Summary
I am developing my professional career and practical skills. At Blue Arrow, although the daily teams were small there were different team members every day so I developed my communication and team building skills here. Rockingham Oak has given me experience of the use of power tools, work processes and working around Clients. Working at Avon gave me the experience of warehouse processes, including computer stock control systems and working in larger teams.  I am hardworking and will ask questions if I am unsure or need additional tasks.

Experience

From September 2022 to August 2023
Blue Arrow- Providing waste and recycling services to Brighton and Hove City Council
During my time with Blue Arrow I was expected to work in small, everchanging teams to complete a multitude of rounds to collect and load either general waste or recycling and glass bins. This required a good level of fitness, flexibility and teamworking skills as well as responding to the general public’s questions and on occasion challenges. After 4 months in the role, I was asked to apply for a permanent position with the council but was unable to do so as I was only in Brighton temporarily.

From February 2022 to September 2022
Rockingham Oak- Permanent Contract
As a labourer at Rockingham Oak I performed a multitude of tasks including, preparing Mortice and Tenon joints on the oak frames and Joint testing to ensure a quality fit. After assisting in the production of Oak frames I was also part of the team that erected the finished frames as well as completing the studwork, cladding and glazing of the project. To complete these duties a high level of fitness and resilience was required as these projects could take place all year round in all weathers and on a mixture of sites, from private properties through to construction sites.

Reason for Leaving – I left to move to Brighton for 1 year whilst my girlfriend finished University.

From August 2020 to February 2022
Avon Warehouse – Agency Contract
Warehouse Replenisher (Night and Day Shifts)
As a Warehouse Replenisher my role was to select and scan out the correct products from the warehouse and then replenish the assembly stations with the appropriate products in preparation for the Pickers and Packers the following morning.
Part of my role was manually loading delivery lorries with completed boxes from the factory in a neat and timely manner, ensuring the load was properly stacked and the weight distributed correctly.

I started as a Picker and Packer and was offered the opportunity to move into replenishment after about 4 months.

Reason for leaving – I was asked to go back to Rockingham Oak on a permanent contract

From September 2018 to March 2020
Rockingham Oak – Temporary Contract
As a labourer at Rockingham Oak I performed a multitude of tasks including:

·       Loading and Offloading of Oak frames and other building materials and checking them in and out of stock.

·       Preparing materials and tools for transport to site.

·       Helping out with the erection of Oak frames for garages, extensions etc.

·       General support for the carpenters and joiners.

Reason for leaving – End of temporary contract.

From July 2015 to May 2018
Crick Docking Services/Marina
My responsibilities include assisting in docking a boat and then sealing the dock, allowing it to be drained.  I then prepare the hull’s surface for painting by pressure washing it, after which bitumen would be painted onto it.
Whilst working for Crick Marina, I completed a variety of tasks such as fence repair, replacement and repainting, grass cutting, tree pollarding and ground clearance.

From April 2017 to June 2017
East Carlton Shoot – Work experience
Whilst working at East Carlton Shoot I took on a multitude of responsibilities. The primary of which was the maintenance and care of the 55,000 poults, as well as cleaning sheds for future chicks. Also I assisted in catching and releasing older birds into release pens.
