About Me

I joined the military after a short term at a sixth form collage, after passing basic training I was sent to my first unit in Germany, whilst there I deployed to Cyprus for 6 months and Afghanistan also for 6 months and then returned back to the UK, all together I served just under 15 years in the Army and now I am looking for a new challenge.

With a great enthusiasm for learning, and an ability to adapt quickly to new challenges I look forward to learning new skills in my endeavour to improve myself.

Driving Qualifications
●       LGV C+E Licence

●       CPC Card

●       Tachograph Card

●       ADR 1,2,3

●       NVQ L2 transporting goods by road

●       Basic first aid

Other Qualifications
●       NVQ Level 2 English

●       NVQ Level 2 Mathematics

●       NVQ Level 2 Communications

●       NVQ Level 2 health and safety at work

●       NVQ level 2 improving own learning

●       Reach forklift JCB 524/50 740/70

Experience
●       14 years driving HGV’s within a military environment

●       Completion of fuel tanker training with DHL

●       Completion of training at BOC driving oxygen tankers

Responsibilities
●       Performing pre start checks on HGV, Forklifts and a very wide variety of vehicles to ensure they are fit for purpose and road worthy

●       Loading and unloading and securing of various loads suitable for transport by road

●       Handling of dangerous goods under ADR regulations including fuel, gases and explosives

●       Keeping to company health and safety measures

●       Planned timed delivery schedules and routes to ensure maximum safe results and efficient fuel use

●       Supervising and training less experienced personnel
