Class 2 Driver

A processing dairy are looking to recruit a Class 1 & 2 driver for their site in Grassington to distributes milk, along with other associated dairy products, throughout Yorkshire and the surrounding area.

We are also open to discussion with applicants who are looking to take their HGV licence. Finance & subsidised training is available for the right candidate.

The role is temporary to permanent and the successful applicants must be conscientious, trustworthy & reliable. The multidrop position is physically demanding & involves both the loading/unloading of vehicles.

Specific duties will include:

Complete a walk-around check before driving.
Ensure vehicle is loaded as per order sheet
Picking and delivering of orders at customers premises.
Complete all legal requirements concerning driving regulations, correct use of tachographs,adherence to EU rules on driving hours and the working time regulations.
Check and adhere to to work rota as instructed by Transport Manager.

The position will offer an average working week of 40 – 48 hours over 5 days, although an alternating 4 day/5 day working week may be available. Both working patterns may include a week-end day and bank holidays.

Salary rate of £11.23 per hour plus possible bonus of up to £1.00 per hour after training period completed.

A company pension scheme is also in place.
