Position Summary
Logistics done differently.

Transport Supervisor – 05:00 to 14:00, Monday to Friday

We’re hiring a Transport Supervisor to work onsite at our customer location at Fuchs, Hanley, Monday to Friday from 05:00 to 14:00. In this role, you’ll oversee daily administrative tasks, manage HGV fleet maintenance, support investigations, manage drivers, and contribute to QHSE activities. This position is ideal for candidates with solid transport office experience and strong customer service skills.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £36,000 per annum. There is also an opportunity to learn and progress through the transport operation.

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day

Manage a bulk fleet ensuring timely departure and managing issues
Update KPI reports and complete Proof of Delivery checks
Monitor PDA systems and manage incoming calls
Oversee service schedules for HGVs, tractor units, and trailers
Liaise with maintenance providers to ensure full compliance
Carry out vehicle-related investigations
Manage drivers, including daily debriefs, briefings, performance support, and addressing operational issues
Support site-level investigations and disciplinary procedures
Contribute to QHSE and site performance targets via scorecard activities
What you need to succeed at XPO:

Essential – Proven experience in a transport office environment
Essential – Knowledge of HGV vehicles and maintenance scheduling
Essential – Strong customer service skills
Essential – Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer use
Desirable – CPC Qualified
Desirable – Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role
Desirable – Familiarity with systems such as Sphere, SHARP and SAP
