Proven experience handling abnormal, wide, and long loads is essential. Familiarity with vehicle transporters is highly advantageous

Rates of Pay and Benefits

We offer guaranteed hours and competitive pay, with a structure that rewards both commitment and experience.

Monday to Friday day tramping (sleeping in the vehicle overnight)
Guaranteed 50 hours per week, with overtime available
£13.50 per hour Monday to Friday
£12 daily meal allowance (tax-free)
Equivalent to £14.90 per hour on a 55-hour week including meal allowance

£17 per hour for Saturday, Sunday, and Bank Holidays
Equivalent to £18.92 per hour on an 8-hour day including meal allowance

£25 tax-free night out allowance
Paid fortnightly
Holiday Entitlement

You’ll receive 28 days of annual leave including Bank Holidays, with holiday pay based on your average taxable earnings from the previous 52 weeks.

Job Specification

We are looking for experienced drivers with an eye for detail and a strong work ethic. You’ll be operating commercial vehicle carriers, using both manual and mechanical ramps. You’ll be responsible for loading and unloading a range of rubber-wheeled vehicles and must have a keen eye for checking and reporting any damage.

The role is carried out under our FORS Gold Accreditation. While full training is available for the right candidate, experience is strongly preferred.

Vehicles

You’ll be assigned your own modern Scania unit, typically under two years old. Our fleet includes R-Series Highline and S-Series cabs, fitted with full leather trim, fridges, and inverters. Drivers are expected to take pride in the condition and cleanliness of their vehicle, which is professionally washed weekly and maintained to a high standard by Scania.
