I am recruiting for my Client based in Leeds, LS10 an experienced Head of Planning to manage the smooth operation of the Warehouse and Transport operation within their Chilled storage/distribution business.

This role is to ensure that Drivers, Customer demands and manufacturing sites are effectively managed.

Responsibilities

Manage the team of Logistic Co-ordinators
Daily check of stocks and pallet, cage and dolav management
Liaising with Transport Manager ensuring HGV and Driver compliance
Monitor and review running costs, including 3rd party
Manage effectively inter-site movements and call offs
Manage the team of HGV Drivers, ensuring all shifts/runs are covered
Manage the training and development of the Co-ordinators and Drivers
Maintenance of internal systems
Approval of Supplier invoices
Candidate Requirements

Experience being in a Senior Planning role
Full knowledge of Transport and Warehouse functions
Must have knowledge managing chilled storage and distribution
Must have experience being involved with external audits
Full understanding of Driver Hours and Tachograph regulations
Would be beneficial for a HGV license
Beneficial of FLT license
Hours of Work

Monday to Friday shift start time 1900 (45 hours per week)

Salary

£30,000 per annum
