The Role:
The EMEA Wealth Management Data Privacy Lead will assist the business with the design and execution of controls, processes, and procedures to ensure the proper usage and safeguarding of customer, employee and other confidential information. The Data Privacy Lead will partner with business functions to drive implementation to comply with the
privacy policy framework and requirements.
The job opening is for an Executive Director based in London, but the successful hire would be expected to travel across the region.
Key responsibilities:
drive the implementation and execution of the first line of defense operating model in adherence to JPMC Global Privacy requirements and to enusre the required results
influence management decisions around usage and access to resources in the business that are commensurate with the level of privacy risks in order to drive the control requirements and/or enhancements
ensure effective execution of privacy requirements, maintenance of privacy related procedures and adherence to such procedures
be an active member in the appropriate Privacy Compliance Forums and Business / Legal Entity Control Committees to provide transparency through reporting on business risks, issues and/or control deficiencies that would impact the Business and Legal Entities’ ability to comply with privacy requirements
support the Privacy Compliance Lead(s) and participate in privacy workgroups, strategic projects or targeted reviews that require business engagement
drive the implementation of EMEA Wealth Management privacy procedures and ensures that such procedures are maintained, accurate and comply with applicable privacy policies and requirements
assist the business with the design and execution of controls to address privacy business requirements and mitigate privacy risks
assess the impact of privacy regulatory changes on the business & technology operations, processes or procedures, including modifications needed. Provide transparency to Privacy Compliance Lead(s) into the EMEA Wealth Management’s preparedness for complying with regulatory change
work within the business to ensure that privacy incidents are reported timely and accurately to the Privacy Incident Response Lead, in accordance with policy; assist the business in determining necessary client notifications and escalations to human resrouces as appropriate
evaluate new projects, suppliers, technologies through appropriate firmwide control processes around third party (outsourcing) oversight, new business initiative approvals, interaffiliate agreements, etc. Qualifications:
ability to influence and build effective relationships with senior management and stakeholders to drive an effective operating model and manage business risks
experience in implementing legal and/or compliance requirements into business practices (processes & procedures) and conducting privacy, operational and/or technology risk assessments
understanding of processes and information flows for business and operational units that manage customer, employee data and other confidential information
relevant experience working with support functions such as operations, controls, marketing, preference collection, information management, information technology, and third party management. Privacy operations experience a plus
strong analytic capabilities, confident in identifying/solving complex operational challenges and control oriented
ability to work well with a geographically dispersed group of privacy, business and control professionals
exceptional interpersonal skills with proven experience in relationship building, influencing and partnering
language skills – fluency in English required, additional languages beneficial
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
