JOB TITLE
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Light Commercial Vehicle Workshop Manager
Job Description
The Light Commercial Job Title Vehicle Workshop Manager shall be responsible for the supervision and record keeping of the Vehicle Maintenance , management of repair teams and the overall management of the Vehicle Workshop. You shall be responsible for ensuring vehicles are maintained and repaired in accordance with the service and repair calendar and effectively communicate with Site Supervisors and vehicle drivers to resolve logistical issues with curtsey vehicles when vehicles are required to be off the road to ensure the primary operations are maintained.
In addition The Light Commercial Job Title Vehicle Workshop Manager shall also be required to carry out an element of Transport Managers Role in compliance with VOSA DVLA and Company insurances.
Specific Responsibilities
1 Supervise the Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Team ensuring the Team meets all performance measures agreed.
2 Ensure effective task prioritisation, scheduling, allocation, delivery, administration, budgeting and work record keeping.
3 Ensure all work is delivered to the required standard, in the required time and in the most efficient manner possible.
4 Responsible for all first line staff supervision including PDPRs, initial discipline and initial grievance.
5 Ensure parts are ordered in a timely manner and stock is kept at required levels and fully accounted for.
6 In conjunction with WBG management Team ensure all Team staff receives the necessary training both initial and ongoing.
7 Work as part of the Workshop Team when required to maintain and repair Service Vehicles to ensure they remain fit for purpose and available when required.
8 Ensure all vehicle workshop health and safety policies and procedures are followed, and all necessary records are kept.
9 Cover for other team members when required.
10 Cost effective Hire of vehicles
11 Liaison with Company Insurance and accident reporting
12 Bring new ideas to the attention of the WBG Management Team for consideration and overall betterment.
Reporting
The Light Commercial Vehicle Workshop Manager shall report to the WBG Senior Management Team weekly.

Qualifications
Previous experience of working within a live Workshop environment essential
Recognised motor industry qualifications.

7.30am – 5.30pm
Be happy to take calls out of hours on occasions
Training
A full personnel training programme shall be agreed for continual professional development.
