Holiday Cover for both Class 1 & 2 drivers

We are a small family owned haulage company, running 15 vehicles, we currently have 2 vacancies for holiday and sick cover 1 on HGV Class 1 and 1 for HGV Class 2

We operate a modern fleet of vehicles
Main duties include collections and deliveries to and from various sites around the UK and completing basic paperwork.
PPE is provided.
All tolls are prepaid.
When working, the week is Monday – Friday.
In addition to our Northfleet yard, we also have 5 Class 1 (Truck and Trailer) dedicated bays at DP World, London Gateway, Stanford Le hope. Which has Toilets, Showers and a Food cabin.
All Class 2 work is day work and you will be back at our Northfleet yard everyday.
The successful applicant will cover all holiday and sick leave on an as and when required basis. There will also be other work available on an ad hoc basis. This would all be discussed at the interview.

Class 1 work is on containers and Class 2 is general haulage, duties for each vacancy will be discussed at the interview.

Experience of ports and docks is preferred but not essential, as is a good knowledge of the UK. Applicants must have a very good understanding of spoken and written English.

To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it).
