Great part-time entry-level job for students or anyone else with flexible hours and based anywhere in the UK – Be an external Transport Manager (TM) – No experience required.
Being an external Transport Manager (TM) is a great part-time entry-level job for students or anyone else based anywhere in the UK. You only need to study for less than a month and pass an exam after which you’ll receive a TM CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence). Then you can easily earn around £2,000 or more per month for a few flexible hours of work most of which can be done online from home.
All transport companies in the UK are legally required to have a transport manager with CPC added to their operator’s licence. You can be a TM on up to 4 operator’s licenses (this limit is by law). Here are the going pay rates for external transport manager services that you can expect to earn:

You can choose to be a TM either or both in HGV (heavy goods vehicles) or in PSV (passenger service vehicles) but these require 2 separate exams and you will still be limited to 4 operators total, so most people chose either one or the other but some do both. You can learn more about being a TM and how to become one on our website TransportForum.com and in our Facebook group with 29,000 members at this link:

You can study for an exam at home by yourself with just a book or you can take a course like one of these: https://transportforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=4148 or find another one in your area. Ask for recommendations in this Facebook group. If you can study by yourself at home, you don’t have to pay for a course.
Once you have your TM CPC, send the following details to admin@transportforum.com and we’ll refer to you operators who need a TM in your area.
1. Name
2. Phone number
3. City (not region) where you are based
4. Is your CPC for road haulage (HGV) or passenger (PSV)?
5. Is your CPC national or international?
In addition to sending your details to us, you can also market your TM services yourself as described in this post:
