Class 1 PDP ADR (TANKS) Fuel Tanker Driver

Northampton

6 month contract (may last longer for the right driver)

£24.10 per hour

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled PDP ADR (Tanks) Class 1 Fuel Delivery Driver to join our team in Northampton. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of fuel delivery using a tanker lorry across the UK. This role requires a strong commitment to safety regulations and excellent driving skills, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in compliance with all relevant laws.

Duties

Operation of fuel tanker transportation managing supply chains to customers sites.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including quantities and types of cargo transported.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while driving and handling hazardous materials.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the tanker lorry.
Assist with loading and unloading of cargo as required.
The Job

Thisposition is a 3–6-month contract and may lead to a permanent position for the rightdriver. The position is on a shift basis and will consist of a week on nights then a week on days, it is based on 10 hours per day, and no nights out will be planned. Days shifts start at 0400 and night shifts at 1600. This position pays a minimum of 10 hours per days with breaks paid.

Pay Rate

Inclusiveof holiday pay:

£24.10 per hour

Experience

Proven experience as a tanker commercial/retail driver, preferably with a focus on the distribution of fuel – must have an ADR and PDP licence.
Valid HGV licence with appropriate endorsements for tanker driving ADR(Tanks).
Experience in delivery driving is advantageous, particularly in handling liquid cargo.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting hazardous materials.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure compliance with delivery schedules and documentation.
