Car, HGV + Plant Recovery Driver (HGV class 1)

Tears of Sutton Bridge provides a specialist recovery service from their depots in King’s Lynn, Spalding and Sutton Bridge and pride themselves on their excellent customer service and reputation.

Over the past 27 years they have made a continued commitment to develop and update a comprehensive fleet of recovery vehicles making them one of the biggest in the area.

Due to increasing work volumes and internal progression, we currently have a position available for a Car, HGV + Plant Recovery Driver (HGV class 1) in Sutton Bridge.

We are seeking candidates who have experience in:

Class 1 driving experience is essential
Plant and Equipment transport or an agricultural background is preferable
Hiab or lorry loader crane experience is preferable
Hands on attitude with basic hand tool / fitting skills -> we will provide training on how to prepare a HGV for recovery
Flexible approach to hours – this role requires being on call two weeks out of four
The Car, HGV + Plant Recovery Driver key responsibilities will include:

Attending breakdowns of vehicles ranging from cars to commercial HGVs, and recovering them safely to their destination
Carrying out Hiab movements of containers and other machinery
Carrying out forklift and plant movements across the country
Assisting in winching and up righting of accidents and road traffic collisions
