Join The Hiring Service Team as a Class One Driver (Days)

Salary: £20.00 per hour
Location: Thame, Oxfordshire
Shift Times: Start between 04:00 and 09:00, Monday to Friday (varies by route)

Role Overview: We are looking for Class One drivers who are integral to delivering freight efficiently and safely across the UK. This role requires flexibility as the daily tasks can vary, from transporting large shipments on routine runs to hauling full loads.

Responsibilities:

Follow a daily delivery and collection schedule as assigned by the transport office
Use PDA devices and phone Apps for proof of delivery
Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks in line with DVLA guidelines
Prioritize health and safety for yourself, colleagues, and the public
Maintain cleanliness of your vehicle and ensure secure loading of shipments
Represent our client and The Hiring Service professionally at all times, maintaining a calm and friendly demeanour.
Requirements:

Clean C + E Licence with at least 1 years of driving experience
Knowledge of standard compliance requirements
Experience in general haulage preferred
Strong focus on efficient delivery and cost-effective driving
Skills:

Confident and careful driving
Class 1 HGV Driving License
Excellent communication skills
Team player with a flexible attitude
Proficient in using Phones, PDAs, and Apps
Diligent in daily maintenance checks
