Are you a Class 2 driver seeking new opportunities?

The Best Connection Employment Group are currently seeking a Class 2 driver to fulfil an ongoing position in Maidstone.

The clients nature is very much a 7 day operation, therefore you must be flexible in terms of working weekends, as you will be on working a weekly rota, that will ensure that you do not exceed your driving hours.

Previous experience of operating a class 2 vehicle is preferred, but not essential.

Start Times:

Range between 04:00 – 09:00.

Please be aware that the shifts can be long, it is not unusual that on some occasions, you will be working 10-12 hours.

The role itself requires the candidates to deliver supermarket products/produce into convenience stores, completing 5-12 drops per day.

Please be aware that all produce will be on cages, therefore you will have to access the back of the vehicle and assist with unloading.

This role WILL involve London. If you are not comfortable with driving in London, then this role may not be suitable for you.

On an average day, you will be delivering up to 12 drops. Although this sounds a lot, you will be making these deliveries in one particular area. For example, you may travel to Ipswich, and make 12 drops in Ipswich, and then return.

Before commencing, you will be required to complete a driving assessment, along with a theory test at the site.

When you arrive at the assessment, you will be asked to complete a health and safety test, Highway code test and a tacho test.

It is essential you are fully prepared for these tests, and you have a strong understanding of the highway code and driver hours rules.

If you pass the theory test, you will be asked to complete a driving assessment.

Throughout the driving assessment you will be required to:

Navigate through a slalom
Bay park (reverse)
Manoeuvre around tight turns

Pay Rates:

Sunday-Saturday: £13.08 – £15.25 Per Hour

You will receive a minimum of 8 hours pay.

The higher pay rate is achieved by possessing your own limited company.

To be eligible for this position you must possess:

Category C Licence
Valid CPC
Valid Digi-Card
Strong understanding of driver hours rules
Previous experience operating a Class 2 vehicle
Happy with Weekend work
