IMMEDIATE START FOR AD HOC OR ONGOING CLASS 1 WORK IN PORTSMOUTH

Portsmouth Branch of The Best Connection are recruiting on behalf of our client based in the Portsmouth area for HGV Class 1 Drivers. We are looking for drivers who are wanting either ad hoc days or ongoing work.

As the HGV Class 1 Driver will be required to:

Standard vehicle checks am/pm
Ensuring all deliveries are made on time (if time slot is set) and all paperwork is signed.
There may be some work that requires you to move some of the load in order to be unloaded.
Delivery types may vary depending on daily work available.
HGV Class 1 Driver will be required to have:

Full up to date HGV CE Licence
Digital Taco card
Up to date DQC Card
Good understanding and knowledge of tacho laws and geographical area.
HGV Class 1 Driver rates of pay are:

The rates of pay for a PAYE Contract will be £11.50ph, overtime paid after 10 hours at time and half.
There will be an uplift for approved umbrella drivers.
The hours of work for the HGV Class 1 Driver:

The usual start time areas around 0600/0630.
Finish times can vary depending on traffic, routing etc.
You will be paid for a standard 8 hours per shift.
